The Challenge

The KITE STEM Challenge (Kirkland Interactive Technology Experience) is a Google-sponsored challenge between Lake Washington schools to see who has the most STEM knowledge. Every correct answer gives your school a chance to win up to $10,000 cash for STEM programs, as well as individual rewards.

Open to every student in the district, from kindergarteners to high school seniors, everyone is encouraged to participate. Students (or their parents) will use the KITE STEM Challenge app, available for iOS and Android, to participate in the competition. Students identify only their school and grade level in the app; if they’d like to be entered into drawings for individual prizes, they can enter their name and email. This is completely optional; more about privacy here.
